Description

These large mabe pearl studs are a a real show stopper and very reminiscent of 1950’s stud earrings.

Set within 9ct white gold rims, each mabe pearl displays an unusual sky blue-grey colour with a petrol iridescence.

The back of the earrings are solid 9ct white gold, fully hallmarked, to allow for easy and hygienic cleaning, with large butterfly scrolls.

Mabe pearls are pearls which have formed as a blister on the mother of pearl interior of an oyster shell. They are typically set with a solid mother of pearl or gold back to disguise the area where they have been sliced away from the oyster shell.
