A Victorian ruby and pearl snake brooch, circa.1875

This beautiful Victorian brooch is modelled in yellow gold as a coiled serpent. The head of the serpent is carefully engraved and set with a cushion-cut ruby of vibrant pink colour and a small pearl to the tip of it’s tail.

There is a small mark of a crown to the side of the clasp catch to denote it is gold.

The brooch fitment is a simple signed bar and hook.
