Belle Epoque sapphire and diamond ring, circa 1900

Description

A beautiful 18ct yellow gold ring with diamond shoulders and a rich blue central sapphire with a diamond on each side.

The central sapphire is slightly cushion in shape and is set in fine yellow gold claws. The diamonds are old-cut diamonds totalling 0.7cts. The shoulders are each set with three graduated old eight-cut diamonds  to create a sparkle. The 18ct yellow gold shank is reeded to add extra interest.

The ring shape elongates the finger perfectly. This would make an unusual engagement ring or an eye-catching cocktail ring.
